Welcome to St. John’s

Welcome to a church that people of all ages and interests call home, a place where everyone is welcome. Established in 1885, St. John's encourages all on their journey of faith. We offer beautiful services, community ministries and activities for all ages. We're more than church members at St. John's, we're family. We'd love to have you join us if you're looking for a place to call home.

  • Children's Ministry

Our dedicated and passionate Children's Ministry leader and her team of teachers work each week to help our children grow in their knowledge and love of Christ. In addition to Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, we host special events for our children, their families and all church members. Some of these events include an Easter Egg Hunt, swimming parties, Trunk-or-Treat, Blessing of the Backpacks, Christmas Pageant and more. While they're having fun, our children are learning life lessons and how to show compassion. They've collected food for the Humane Society, made COVID Care Packages and fostered a Ukrainian orphan.

  • Youth

An extension of our children's program is our new Junior EYC (Episcopal Youth Community) group. Children in 3rd grade or higher can participate in this new and exciting group. The children and leaders are overflowing with ideas for activities and projects, so there's no telling how this group will make their mark. Stay tuned . . .

  • Adults

St. John's Adult members are active in every aspect of the church -- volunteering to serve the hungry, cleaning and planting our grounds, serving during worship services, singing in the choir, baking biscuits for everyone on Sunday morning -- come join us and find your own place at St. John's. On Sunday mornings, we'd love for you to join us for Bible Study before church.

Nursery dedication

St. John’s dedicated our newly refurbished and renovated nursery on Sunday, March 3. Surrounded by children, parents, and members of the congregation, Fr. Paul Stephens blessed the nursery and thanked the family responsible for the renovation.

George Howell, David Minkler, Penny Fitz-Randolph & Rick Minkler honored the memory of Patricia Minkler Howell by funding this renovation and beautification project.

Many of the children gathered around the Howell & Minkler families to thank them. The family and attendees then toured the nursery to view the renovated space.
